Minimum 3 years progressively responsible accounting and office experience required — government setting preferred
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, accounting software, registration software and WordPress required
Understanding of local property tax laws and regulations preferred
Valid Washington State driver's license required
Part of the District's Leadership Team — strong independent judgment required

About the Role South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District is looking for a Business Manager to oversee the full scope of their business operations. You'll manage accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, vendor payments, cash receipting and program registration. You'll prepare comprehensive financial reports for the Board, serve as audit liaison, manage accounts payable, ensure tax and regulatory compliance, coordinate with HR on onboarding and benefits and attend monthly Board meetings. A senior finance and operations role for an experienced accounting professional ready to make a meaningful contribution to South Whidbey's community recreation organization.
