3+ years welding experience required
2-G, 3-G, 4-G ABS Steel certification required — Aluminum a plus
Ability to read blueprints and work from drawings required
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights up to 60 feet
Must be able to work in confined spaces using a respirator
USCG or ABS certifications preferred or obtainable within 90 days

About the Role NBBB has been building boats on Whidbey Island since 1964 — producing tugs, ferries, fire boats, fishing vessels and sophisticated marine vessels from their Freeland shipyard. They're looking for an experienced Structural Welder to weld structural components on marine vessels including hulls, superstructures, pilot houses and engine rooms. You'll work with multiple alloys, operate MIG and arc welders, perform air arc operations, and be part of a skilled team that takes pride in every weld.
