Valid WA driver's license required at time of appointment

About the Role The Oak Harbor Police Department is a 29-officer accredited agency known for community involvement and problem-solving policing. You'll patrol Oak Harbor's neighborhoods, respond to calls, conduct investigations, and build genuine relationships with the community you serve. This is a department that invests heavily in training and values officers who want to grow. Important — before you apply: You must first complete testing through Public Safety Testing (publicsafetytesting.com) with a score of 70%+ on the written exam, pass the physical ability test and complete the personal history statement.

Your application must include:

Resume and cover letter explaining your qualifications and interest in OHPD
Last 5–10 years of work experience — do not write "see resume"
Three professional references including at least one past supervisor

Top candidates will be invited to interview with a possible second interview with the Police Chief. Successful candidates are placed on an eligibility list valid for one year.
