Bachelor's degree in recreation, sports, business, fitness or related field required
5 years experience managing programs at a similar agency including budget management and staff supervision required
1 year administrative experience with cash handling required
Valid Washington State driver's license with clean driving record required
Must pass comprehensive background screening including credit and child/vulnerable adult abuse checks
CPR/AED, First Aid and Food Handler's Permit required within 3 months of hire
CPRP or CPRE certification required within 12 months of hire

About the Role The City of Oak Harbor is looking for a Recreation Supervisor to lead the Recreation Division at The Center, overseeing employees, volunteers, programs, facilities and operations year-round. You'll manage the Recreation Division budget, oversee facility scheduling and maintenance, direct marketing and community outreach, manage the Passport Acceptance Office, oversee the 50+ community programs and senior center partnerships, coordinate special events and park rentals and ensure all Division operations align with City goals. A senior leadership role for an experienced recreation professional ready to serve the Oak Harbor community.
