Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required — or equivalent combination of education and experience
Team leadership experience required
Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance and performance management required
Experience managing vendor relationships, insurance policies and service contracts required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, payroll systems and accounting software required
Valid insurable driver's license required
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
Available for occasional evenings and weekends as needed

About the Role Whidbey Camano Land Trust is looking for an HR and Operations Specialist to serve as a central member of their organizational team. You'll oversee the full employee lifecycle from recruiting through offboarding, manage HR compliance and employment policies, administer compensation and benefits, lead IT coordination with service providers, oversee facilities management and vendor relationships and support a positive, mission-driven workplace culture. A proactive, systems-minded role for someone who genuinely enjoys building the community and infrastructure that empowers a collaborative conservation team.
