Minimum 10 years toolmaker experience required
Experience with hardened tool steels — D2, S7 and H13 required
Proficiency with manual and CNC machine tools required — lathes, mills, surface grinders and tool grinders
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods
SolidWorks experience a plus
Full mold design and build capability a plus

About the Role IDEX Health & Science is looking for an experienced Toolmaker to maintain, repair and improve plastic injection molds at their Oak Harbor facility. You'll machine, grind and fit replacement components including core pins, ejector pins, sleeves and cavities, fabricate and repair mold slides using EDM, diagnose mold wear and performance issues, verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment and collaborate with manufacturing, quality and engineering teams to minimize production downtime. A highly skilled precision machining role for a seasoned toolmaker ready to bring their expertise to a globally recognized life sciences company on Whidbey Island.
