Must be at least 21 years of age
U.S. citizen with high school diploma or GED required
Valid Washington State driver's license required at time of appointment
Must pass background investigation, polygraph, medical exam, drug screen and psychological evaluation
Entry Level: Must complete testing through Public Safety Testing (PST) with 70%+ written exam score and pass physical ability test before applying
Lateral Entry: Minimum 12 months continuous full-time commissioned law enforcement service post-academy required
Exceptional Entry: Must have graduated from BLEA or equivalent accredited academy
Do NOT apply until you have completed PST testing and added scores to OHPD list

About the Role The Oak Harbor Police Department is an accredited agency looking for Police Officers at entry, exceptional and lateral levels. You'll respond to calls for service, conduct investigations, process crime scenes, make arrests, patrol by vehicle, bicycle or foot, enforce laws and interact with the community using good judgment and de-escalation skills.
