Experience in quantity food production or line cooking preferred
Current Washington State Food Handler's Permit required
Must pass Washington State background check
Able to lift 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs regularly
Comfortable working with industrial food service equipment

About the Role

Island Senior Resources is looking for a Cook to work in their scratch kitchen at Bayview Central Kitchen in Langley, preparing nutritious meals distributed to seniors in need across Whidbey Island. You'll assist with batch and quantity cooking using seasonal and local ingredients, prepare Meals on Wheels trays, follow food safety guidelines, assist with menu planning and inventory and provide coverage for the Food Service Manager as needed. A meaningful, community-rooted role for someone who takes pride in feeding seniors well.
