Senior Director of Development & Major Gifts Island Senior Resources | Full-Time | Hybrid | Salaried Exempt

Minimum 5 years progressive fundraising experience with demonstrated major giving success required
8+ years experience including 3 years senior development director responsibilities preferred
Proven ability to personally close gifts at four and five figure levels required
Experience designing multi-stream development plans with metrics and forecasting required
Experience with donor databases and CRM systems required
Valid Washington State driver's license with clean driving record required
Must pass criminal background check
Residence on Whidbey Island preferred — or ability to be on-site 5 days per week
CFRE certification preferred
Experience in nonprofit serving older adults or human services preferred

About the Role Island Senior Resources is looking for a Senior Director of Development and Major Gifts to lead their contributed revenue program and serve as the organization's lead frontline fundraiser. You'll spend the majority of your time in donor-facing work — visits, calls, proposals and stewardship — while also developing and executing a comprehensive development plan, supervising the Director of Annual Giving, engaging board members in fundraising, and overseeing development operations. This is a senior leadership role at one of Whidbey Island's most beloved nonprofits, serving older adults and adults with disabilities across Island County since 1972. A meaningful, high-impact role for an experienced fundraiser who is mission-driven, relationship-focused and ready to lead.
