Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work or behavioral sciences plus 2 years related experience required — OR Associate's degree plus 4 years equivalent experience
Fluency in English required
Bilingual Spanish preferred
Must pass criminal background check and MERIT fingerprint check through DCYF
Valid Washington State driver's license and auto insurance required
CPR/First Aid, TB test, Food Handler's permit and immunization documentation required within 30 days of hire
Union represented position — WPEA membership required within 30 days

About the Role

Skagit Valley College's Head Start program in Oak Harbor is looking for a Family Service Coordinator to provide direct social services support to families. You'll conduct needs assessments, develop family partnership plans, make referrals to community resources, support health screening completion, facilitate Policy Council elections and parent meetings, assist with enrollment and attendance requirements and serve as a point of contact for families at the center. A deeply meaningful role for someone committed to supporting vulnerable children and families in the Whidbey Island community.
