Development Director Good Cheer | Full-Time | 40 hours/week | On-Site

3+ years experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, donor relations or communications required
Demonstrated success cultivating donors and meeting fundraising goals required
Experience researching, writing and managing grants required
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required
Experience with donor database or CRM software required
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Experience supervising staff preferred
Experience with Bloomerang preferred
Familiarity with the South Whidbey community preferred

About the Role Good Cheer provides food assistance to more than 1,600 individuals each month across South Whidbey through their food bank, two thrift stores, production garden and community programs. They're looking for a Development Director to lead fundraising and donor engagement — cultivating relationships with individual donors, foundations and businesses, developing annual giving campaigns, writing and managing grants, overseeing community communications and engagement and providing leadership for fundraising events. You'll also supervise the Communications and Community Outreach position and work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors. A senior leadership role for an experienced fundraiser who is passionate about building relationships and ensuring Good Cheer has the resources to meet growing community needs.
